AT HOME

MA KAUHALE

Sunday, Apr 26, 2026, 2 PM
St. Anthony Catholic Church

Our most recent concert was a musical exploration of the concept of home — as a place, as our emotional anchor, and as a source of our identity.

The first half was songs in English, including the Hawaiʻi premiere of . . .

  • Tim Takach’s five-movement “At Home,” with guest artists JoAnna Byng (flute) and Jeffrey Alfriend (clarinet).

The second half was songs in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi about this place we call home, including several arrangements from our friends at Kamehameha Schools, and the world premiere of . . .

  • A new arrangement commissioned from Dr. Thomas Goedecke at UHMC of the song “Komo Mai Kāu Māpuna Hoe,” by Maui’s very own  Kūikawā (words by Dr. Keola Donaghy, UHMC).

Mahalo to those who joined us.
